[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Ashley Martodam has completed the 2016 United Way Cass-Clay’s 35 under 35 women’s leadership program. Six local women’s organizations, spearheaded by United Way of Cass-Clay, launched the first annual 35 Under 35 Women’s Leadership Program in 2009. It is now a collaborative effort led by the United Way of Cass-Clay team. Since 2009, 280 local women have participated in the leadership program. “The United Way 35 Under 35 Women’s Leadership Program is designed to help women grow both personally and professionally. Alumni often share with us how their experience with the program has helped them with professional growth in their role at their company, and how it has had a positive ripple effect on their coworkers, teams, and overall leadership development throughout their business or organization.” said Kristi Huber, United Way of Cass-Clay President. “When these women grow as leaders, their entire company, and this entire community, positively benefits.” The 9th annual program will begin in January 2017 and participants will meet monthly to focus on various issues pertinent to young leaders.

Martodam was selected by her peers to be one of the speakers at the graduation ceremony. “I feel extremely blessed for being chosen to participate in the United Ways 35 Under 35 program this year. It was an incredible learning experience about not only becoming a better leader but also appreciating yourself for who you are and the strengths you were born with.  It was fun, emotional at times, and I met so many women who I now call dear friends!” says Ashley Martodam, an insurance agent at Great North Insurance.
